Congrats FTC Graduates!
Message from Dr. James M. Burkett
Commencement ceremonies and graduation celebratory activities are a culmination of all your hard work, personal sacrifice, and determination. These challenging times have led to some difficult decisions for everyone to adapt to as we are all putting forth an effort to keep our communities safe. Last year our institution, like many others, were faced with the decision to cancel or postpone our in-person commencement ceremony due to this worldwide pandemic. In 2020, we published a graduation celebration video and some campuses had small celebrations and awards ceremonies.
This year, 2021, our focus remains on the safety of our students, our staff, and our family and friends. Therefore, we have made the decision to host an in-person Grad Walk at each FTC Campus on Friday, July 9th, 2021, following CDC safety guidelines. Shortly after, the FTC virtual commencement ceremony and grad walk videos will be broadcasted on our website and social media outlets for all to celebrate virtually. Graduates from June 2019 to May 2021 will be permitted to take part in the Grad Walk on July 9th at their respective campuses. Each Graduate will be allowed to bring up to five (5) family members to participate with them in the celebratory activities. The event will be recorded and there will be plenty of opportunities for photos as you walk across the stage.
Whether you will be attending the grad walk or not, we ask that you RSVP at https://www.ftccollege.edu/graduation. In addition, through this website you can obtain additional information, order cap and gowns, and also be added to the list to receive information about this celebratory event!
We look forward to seeing you on campus or virtually and celebrating with you and your families!

President of FTC, DAVE & FTC-Continuing Education

The Grad Walk for NUC University Florida Technical College (FTC) campuses (South Miami, Pembroke Pines, Deland, Kissimmee, Lakeland, and Orlando) will take place on Friday, July 9th, 2021, with festivities starting at 10 am at each campus.
Each event is on a smaller scale and limited to those graduates who RSVP’ed by June 17. Graduates who did not RSVP will not be able to take part in the Grad Walk Event. Graduates can have up to five (5) guests.
Graduates will receive the invitation to register on or before May 20, via email and text message.

During The Event
When you arrive at the Grad Walk please follow the signs as students will be organized by program. There is no need to organize by name – everyone will be provided with a card with your information on it for the person reciting names to read as you cross the stage.
There will be various stations as you make your journey to your graduation stage to include opportunities for family photos, obtaining your honors cords, and more. Once you arrive and have crossed the stage, you will have the opportunity to take another photo before exiting the building.
If you or a family member are unable to attend Grad Walk 2021, we will post a recording here as soon as we are able to.
